To The Whipmasters of the World
This is notice that this thing you want is not going to happen. I am not going to meet you. I entertained that as a fantasy. True. But a fantasy acted upon becomes reality. And I do not want the reality of a man in my life who wants to whip and abuse me. Not as a reality. So this is my notice that it is over. Not when you say, but when I say. I do thank you for being part of my process as I discovered my inner woman and yes I will allow her to surface. The new clothes I have purchased to meet you in are beautiful and sexy and I like being beautiful and sexy, but not for an abuser. As a woman (admittedly one that co-exists with a male identity in a male bdy) I have a right to respect and even love and this does not sound like what you are offering. So, Whipmasters, we are done. I will wish you peace and insight: that our “relationship” be part of your healing and growth. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
