Micromanagement means different things to different people, so I'd like to be clear about your expectations. Are you looking for a relatively normal life, spiced with a few rules about clothing, food, and social activities? Do you want to become a 24/7 toy and bondage doll, living under strict control over your speech, movement, and financial status? Or do you want to become absolute property, a bound captive who lives in steel, sleeps in a locked cage, and never wears clothes again?

As with so many things in BDSM, pain exists on a scale. My slavewife enjoys being bitten and having needles pushed through her flesh. For her, pain is part of the larger experience, not a singular activity by itself. I've played with others for whom being hurt is nearly the entire focus of play. Results may vary, right?

My point, if I have one, is that nobody should be scared off by a sadistic dominant without further clarification. Ask the important questions - do you insist on pain during play, will you tailor your sadistic activities to a specific person, what do you think about permanent marks? Ask, learn, decide.

One of my favorite activities is locking a slavegirl with a steel chain around her neck and padlocking her to the concrete floor for a few days. Amazingly, this can be done safely and securely. Of course, like the man says, don't try this at home!

A chained slave needs food, water, and a way to relieve herself. Food and water are easy enough to provide. Granola bars, beef jerky, and other shelf-stable foods fill the need. Water is simple, too. 64oz per day of fresh water should be supplied. Bathroom needs are accomplished with a litter box.

Safety is twofold - preventing injury and providing for escape during a disaster. The chain needs to be loose enough around her neck to prevent strangulation. Snug plus 1-2 links is typically sufficient, especially if the padlock adds some length. No other bondage is necessary. Once chained, she isn't going anywhere.

But what happens in an emergency? What if the house catches fire, or the basement floods? No problem. The solution is a semi trailer seal, a numbered plastic lock. Placed between the chain and the attachment point in the concrete floor, it makes escape possible, but only once. Breaking the seal is clear evidence of a runaway slavegirl.

If something happens, she'll be safe. Naked, with a chain locked around her neck, but safe. Otherwise, she'll be securely locked away until you come back with the key.

What separates a submissive from a slavegirl? For some, the title itself is important. Some take pride in being a slave, and some absolutely refuse to be labeled as such. For others, it's a question of limits and consent. To me, a submissive is someone who plays, enjoys being dominated, and who eventually takes the "sub" hat off and returns to her ordinary life. A slave's existence as property is, necessarily and unquestionably, her ordinary life.

Why the change? Quite simply, my slavewife has not been, and will not be, an active participant in my adventures with others.
