When someone in the D/s community asks me what my primary focus is, I usually respond that I am a Sadist with Dominant tendencies. However, to be more precise what I find enjoyable and fulfilling is submissive erotic suffering service. There is some overlapping with Sadism but it’s not the same thing (at least to me). For example, tickle torture is not inflicting pain but the submissive is suffering. Orgasm control falls into this category as well. Again there is no traditional pain involved but keeping a submissive bound and on the edge of an orgasm all afternoon certainly involves erotic suffering.
