To describe me: I am an alpha. A professional in my career, a team leader. I am very good at what I do. I am opinionated and judgmental. I'm not afraid to tell you what I think. Still, I'm not an asshole (well, of course unless you deserve it; in other words, I won't take your shit)... But I'd not sure I'd be categorized as a "formal" Dominant in the community. But maybe I would be. Don't get me wrong - it is all about me. Domination runs through my veins. One of my favorite sayings is a variation from JFK's famous quote, "Ask not... what others can do for you; ask what you can do for others". Are they not words to live by? I just think that is a mode of living that one should definitely try to emulate. And for you, what better person is there with whom you may partake in the giving of yourself than... with ME - where I'm that person who's willing to receive what you can do for someone! What can you do for me. Yes, a wonderful person like me! :) And why not me? I am handsome, very, very intelligent, a professional, and just all-around fantastic. Oh, and did I say I was intelligent? And, make no mistake - I dominate in the bedroom, I dominate in life. Because I am superior. The plain fact is that... life isn't fair. Some are meant to be adored; some are meant to bestow praise and admiration on the one they adore. And I would look to you to initially gauge what you are willing or able to do for me - even attention - I love attention! I clearly am not one to look a "gift horse in the mouth". But if I am not happy, you'll be the first to know.

I was thinking this morning about when It was that I started getting an attitude about myself... I remember going to a t-shirt store, where they would put a saying on the shirt, based on a template that you would customize.

I was looking at a template that said "God I'm good [at...]", where you're supposed to fill in the rest of the statement based on what was fitting for you. Maybe it could be "God I'm good at racquetball", or "God I'm good at cooking", or something of the sort.

I knew immediately what was right for me - I told the employee to... add nothing, just leave it as is. "God I'm good" was perfect!

I remember him giving me a bit of a strange look as he proceeded to make my shirt, and how I proudly wore my "God I'm good" t-shirt around everywhere I went!

For those that watch "The Big Bang Theory":

The character of Leonard is a simpering wimp, who has felt that he has met his "soul mate" in Penny, and other stupidity such as that.  The only time he might be spurred to act bravely or assertively is if Penny shames him into it, or promises a sexual reward. He has no say in the status of their relationship or its direction thereof; it's completely at Penny's whim - and he just has to accept her choice and go with however she "feels" at the moment. When they are "together," he begs and pleads for sex. When they are apart, he feigns disinterest, mopes and seethes.

I know that the male characters of the show revel in their fascination with "Star Trek". At the risk of coming off as a nerd myself, here is a clip from the original series that - if I were to have the opportunity - I would show them as an example on how to "man up", in the "Star Trek" language they would hopefully understand:

Some days, I just find myself singing "Close to you" by The Carpenters...

Why do birds suddenly appear
every time I am near?
Just like you, they long to be, close to me.
Why do stars fall down from the sky
every time I walk by?
Just like you, they long to be, close to me.
On the day that I was born the angels got together
and decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon dust in my hair [okay, that's a stretch]
and golden starlight in my eyes of blue.
That is why all the girls in town
follow me all around.
Just like you, they long to be, close to me.
La La La La La Close to me.

It has happened.
I know people have said that it is like a bolt of lightenning out of the blue. I never believed it was real - until I experienced it for myself the first time!
And now, I can't eat, I can't sleep. I just can't concentrate at all!
Yes, I have fallen hopelessly, passionately, and deeply in love.
With myself.
