You have never been tested for herpes unless you have paid an extra $400.

Before you read any further, ask yourself if you have been tested for herpes. If you answer you have had the standard tests, then you have not been tested for herpes. You would know if you have been. It is expensive and not covered by insurance. Why? Because it is harmless and there is a 1 in 4 chance you already have it and most of the people you know do too.

Why on earth lead with a flaw you ask? I just like to be honest and don't want to waste anyone's time. I have enough positive traits to outweigh this harmless skin condition, I assure you.

I live an active life and want a partner who enjoys traveling and devouring all that life has to offer. It doesn't have to be go, go go all the time and I appreciate quiet time, especially with one I adore. I try to lead an examined life and hope I can have a positive influence on those around me and world in general. It never hurts to be kind, even for a Dominant.

I am a passionate man, an attentive lover, a loyal partner, a great cook and have a good sense of humor. I have things I enjoy doing, but am always available to accompany my partner on activities she is interested in, except shopping, not so much with the shopping thing. I am told I am handsome all the time, but don't put much stock in it one way or the other. I am tall and trim, and am still wearing the same size clothes I did when I graduated from High School.

Now, here's the deal, gentle reader, the government says that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 5 men over the age of 15 have herpes. Medical professionals in the trenches say the figure is well above 50%. Most just don't know or live in denial. It's so common they don't even test for it unless you ask specifically. I have had it since I was a pup and after all this time have no symptoms. I have never passed it to anyone. It has no health implications. It's just a minor annoyance. It's a cold sore for crying out loud.

If you have had more than 5 lovers in your life, there is a 90% chance you are positive for this little thing that should compel you to be honest, but for most this web site and lifestyle is just fantasy. Rub and tickle. Good luck with that. Isn't honesty the core of what this life is supposed to be?

Now, perhaps you are saying "not me", and that might be so, but it is for 1 of every 4 of your girlfriends, sisters and cousins. Perhaps, it is your friend at work, or your ex-sister in law. Reach out to them and let them know there is a kind and thoughtful man waiting for them.

I am asymptomatic, just like you. The only thing that protects you from getting genital herpes from me is that I TELL YOU I HAVE IT. You don't ask me. You NEVER ask me. I can give you a "I got all the tests" piece of paper and you will NEVER ask why HSV1 and HSV2 are not on the STANDARD "EVERYTHING" panel. The only thing protecting you from getting this from me is that I TELL YOU I HAVE IT. Knowing I have it allows me to protect you. I want you to know that I could just lie as most do. I want you to think about that.

90% of us had a cold sore when we were kids. Guess what, that means you have herpes and can transmit it to someone else all these years later, to their lips or tender bits.

Let's get one thing clear, It's my character that leads me to tell you. It is because I COMPLETELY agree with informed consent as a moral value. Likely you, who have never been tested, never have never had symptoms and have never ASKED if someone has had a cold sore or genital herpes outbreak. 90% of the people that have this are ASYMPTOMATIC; just like me, just like you. You won't get it from me, but I have the strength of character to tell you upfront. If are strong enough to be this honest, I want to hear from you. What is your character?

If I added you as a favorite, don't get your shorts in a twist. I am simply letting you know I found you attractive or really liked your outlook on life. Hopefully both. Perhaps, I am just opening the door for you to share your secret or suspicion with someone who would care.

Kind thoughts to all.

Step up or step away.

9/6/2014 4:53:10 PM: Seems like being a Master for most of the girls on CS is quite dangerous. Have you noticed how many Masters have died tragically in the last year? 'My dear Master passed from cancer' 'My dear Master had a stroke and died. I am so alone.' Etc. Almost every other profile says that dear old Master is a goner. Maybe vanilla is better for my health.

7/16/2014 11:47:02 AM: From a note from a friend:Here is additional information you may want to use, including statistics for HSV1 and HSV2 and their similarities, stigma, etc. http://www.herpes.com/hsv1-2.html 'By the time they're teenagers or young adults, about 50% of Americans have HSV-1 antibodies in their blood. By the time they are over age 50, some 80-90% of Americans have HSV-1 antibodies. By comparison, almost all HSV-2 is encountered after childhood, when people become sexually active. Those who have a prior infection with HSV-1 have an acquired immune response that lowers - though certainly doesn't eliminate-the risk of acquiring HSV-2. According to one study (Mertz, Annals of Internal Medicine,1992), previous oral HSV-1 infection reduces the acquisition of subsequent HSV-2 infection by 40%.'

7/3/2011 4:36:33 PM: Well, don't really expect too much here, but thought I would share  this insightful comment.   From:   classysmartladie      Dated:   6/30/11 8:14 PM       ewwe...you have herpes?Brilliant, don't you think. Notice all the detail on her profile. Such deep thoughts....

5/20/2011 4:46:19 AM: I suppose this is part true confession and part rant. Sshhh and gather near:   I work, largely, alone, often at home. Sometimes I turn on junk TV, just for noise and a little bit of scandal in the background. You know. Springer, Maury and the like. Having always felt myself scandalous, it's nice to see folks more away from the norm than I, and that is some distance, let me tell you.   So, that was the confession...    I feel better. Here is the rant:   There was a couple on the Maury show, (Can you believe that guy was once a news anchor in DC for years?) So, you know the drill. Lie detector tests, paternity scandals, etc.    This couple is on the show. Married four years, two kids, love peace and happiness. Telling you true. Suddenly he has a herpes outbreak and neither of them had known they had it. His wife accused him of cheating with her best friend, even though the wife had no knowledge of her friend having herpes. The husband stumbled and stuttered saying that he heard the virus can be in your body dormant for decades. The audience was like time of yor. Like the crowds when the Christians were in the Lions den. Booooo. You are lying! Cheater!!!!!  (Kill him. Stone him.)   Off to the lie detector exam and an STD screening. Can you guess what happens next, dear reader? Think and pause a bit.....       Ready?        His lie detector test came up clean. Never cheated. Not once anywhere, with anyone. The wife's friend's lie detector test came up clean and both the wife and her friend tested herpes free.   He had herpes before he met his wife and it just got a bit angry one day. Most don't know until something happens, but crap, ending up on the Maury show to sort it out seems like a hard way to go. {Good place to mention I have life experience and friends who have been together for 20+ years and have not transmitted the virus to each other.}   Here is the rant. National TV show. They were totally happy to roast this guy over the coals and throw him to the lions, but when the truth came out they just skirted over it. No one said, 'Yes, you can have herpes for decades and never know.'   The stigma is one of stupidity. If you have had unprotected sex with more than 8 partners, statistical reality makes it nearly impossible for you not to have it. Just math. The last study by the CDC bluntly stated, more people have herpes in the US than are married.   End of rant. Carry on.
