3/21/2018 8:33:43 AM: Today is a beautiful gorgeous day outside My window. Despite being early Spring, a late winter snow last night now hugs the ground and and coats the trees this morning. Interesting to view some of My/our early flowering pear trees, their white blooms covered in a light white coating of fine snow. A few limbs sparkle when the sun tries to peek through the clouds. All is soooo quiet...The doggies love the snow, often rolling and reveling in it. Ball chasing is always a welcome sport, in any season, any weather, at least until cold and wet sets in. Then, back inside to dry off and warm up -- tails a wagging.Driving may be a bit hazardous ip on the narrow country road; but no matter, since I/we are working from home today. 2/17/2018 6:20:25 AM: Christmas is over. W/we dismantled and packed the tree today -- away for another year. Then, rearranged the living room furniture back to 'normal.' Sheesh...I shall miss the tree, the ornaments, the memories, and...most of all...the caring holiday spirit that Christmas brings...needed so much, particularly now, with the world doing it's damned level best to get to hell ASAP.I used to think that man's worst invention was pantyhose; but now, guns, particularly how humans use them, is at least man's second worst invention, perhaps may prove to be his worst yet.I still believe that people kill people, not that guns kill people. However, with the years passing...and the many many many senseless killings of innocents...my belief has evolved now to where I believe that the easy availability of firearms, much more than availability of other types of weapons, enables at least and perhaps even enhances an innate human instinct to kill another...and preferably to kill many others.When/where/how will this carnage ever stop? What will it take to change this terrible horrible dastardly scourage???????????????????????????????MP
12/16/2017 9:19:58 AM: Grrrrrr!A gorgeous fall day outside, sunny, blue sky, no clouds, no wind, and a bit cold (low 30s). Could be great day for hiking the woods or even a beach. Perhaps, roasting something good on a hearty fire. Yeah!!!BUT...Darn it. A nasty ol' cold just decided to spend a while in my head...throat...and elsewhere. Many aches, sneezes, coughs right now. So, at least for now I must 'persuade' this unwanted bozo to leave town ...or least leave My head. I have work (the dissertation calls) to do and I'm not too partial for a cold encroaching on My territory, now or ever. GRRRRR!!! {:~))I hope everyone out there in CS-land is well and happy today, contented, and looking forward to the joy and peace of the upcoming holiday season. slavegabrielle and I are very happy and comfortable here, within and outside O/our 'skins,' even though W/we still have not yet found that special someone to join U/us in this happy comfortable country home.
