Gorean slaves do not get to deside who they will obey, and who they will not. All Free Men are Masters and All Free Women are Mistresses. A kajira's place is to be respectul and pleasing, regardless of their personal feelings. Only a kajira's owner may deside who they will or will not obey and defer to.
