Even in my vanilla relationships pleasing a partner has always been the most satisfying part of sex for me. Whether that means taking a more aggressive approach, a softer and more sensual one, or just matching her energy I have always enjoyed it most when the connection is so strong that I can respond to her based on body language, a look, a touch, or the sound of her breathing.  The more excited she becomes ultmately the more exciting it is for me.  That need to please, and be pleasing, as its own reward.

While that vanilla side of me can switch approaches based on chemistry and the vibe with a partner, there's also a submissive side that is driven by that same need to please, and be pleasing.  The one that wants to build enough trust to be totally vulnerable, open, to release the control, obey, be completely focused on her, her pleasure, and to make her proud.  I have only found that rapport with one other person and its now been years since I have experienced it, but the draw is still so powerful that it is still worth looking for.
