Sometimes you get that message of all hope is lost from someone. Most of the time your first response is to say I'm sorry and I understand, but do we really. Last night, I got that call, this time around I didn't pretend to understand, I didn't try to sympathize, I just listened. which for anyone whose known or meet me know that I'm a protector and I tend to react with out listening. So after just listening and letting the person vent while I was driving, I remember something from some video on YouTube. I dunno who said it, but I just remember guy talking about when someone tells you something important, they feel your important enough to know then you show up. I did I showed up, and for prob 2 to 3 hours I didn't say a word, the individuals thought that was strange because that's not my style, however when I did finally speak, I said to them, I'm always going to be here to listen for you. I'll be the person you scream at, cry on, or just whatever you need, I'll be that person. So to often we try to tell people how to feel, that never works, sometimes you just need to be an ear, a punching bag, or just anything that person needs..... |
