ON: SUBSERVIENCE
According to tradition, the Greek philosopher Diogenes lit an oil lamp and searched Athens in pursuit of an honest man. If Diogenes were searching present day North America would he be any more successful?
An individual’s Honesty, like his sense of Duty, reflects the light of conscience (which Diogenes’ lamp symbolically illuminates). Duty presumes the existence of Law, and involves obligations to others, but Honor leads an individual to act Ethically though no one else is involved. To maintain self-respect one must respect a standard of conduct which is set by the individual, founded upon a presupposed self-consciousness of Virtue.
The relationship of Ethics to Good, Truth, and Beauty extends into the realm of Aesthetics, Subservience, and Altruism as s of contemplation. Submissives often speak to the needs of Service & self Sacrifice, usefulness to advancing a Cause or Commitment, and supporting higher ideas advanced by others to progress toward a greater Human Perfection. Therefore, Ethics is inherent in Subservient Altruism and the calling cannot exist without it.
I was once informed that a submissive male was of no worth. I respectfully suggest the Submissive is necessary and honorable and affirms this during challenges. A Submissive has a duty to other individuals, which pre-supposes that Honor. An Honor founded on the self-imposed standard of Ethics which extends from the Good, Truth, and Beauty that is inherent in Subservience.
No one forces me to be a Submissive, I choose to be one. Therefore I choose to assume the mantle of a higher standard of conduct, and strive to enlighten others to the aesthetically pleasing Beauty which Subservience inspires.
