9/23/2017 1:49:45 AM: This visit to Lake Oconee is different. Summer had its pleasures, but autumn arrives and changes everything. It’s still summer in a way, but not like it was. Passions of hot summer days at the lake have given way to contemplation with coffee. Things have moved on for us and it’s bittersweet. Memories are for autumn. The sun still shines brightly, but not the same. It’s landing on falling leaves, but that’s not a sad thing. Just the way it is. No more heated moments, we’re calm, slowly swirling wine in fancy glasses and detached from all that. We appreciate what was and what the spring will bring.
9/22/2017 11:15:31 AM: Lake time coming up today although I'll only be there 2 days. I was hoping a beautiful sub would take me up on my offer of refuge from the hurricane and be in need of an emergency spanking. Kind of like turning on the generator when the power goes out.
