Taking a new approach to this. Ultimately I would like to be in a relationship based on what a FLR is founded on. Someone that realizes her potential as a leader and the positive impact of that on a relationship.

Hello again everyone. I will try the journaling portion of this site, risking my profile.

Something came to mind today. Some Dommes/Dom mention their source of training. This person, or this group. Can the unique skill of being "D" be taught? I think I'd want someone who just is. Someone self aware enough to recognize that they are and that they thrive when being. It is a complex relationship that is mimicked in real life naturally. A D/s based relationship is just when both parties are aware of it and choose to embrace it. Again, just my thoughts.

Getting back to writing some words I thought I'd try to relay my thoughts on submission. Feel welcome to tell me your thoughts, or anything for that matter.

When I read profiles of others it always makes me think whether I'm true in my understanding or actions related to this concept. But does that matter? I've always have opposed the cookie cutter approach to most things, especially in the things I cherish greatly.

Why do males, or anybody desire to yield to another person? I'm sure it varies for each person depending on their life. This is a voluntary action with the overall results good for both parties.

Wow, it's been ages since I've written here. I sort of lost track of my readings. Perhaps that's a big part of my flaws, staying focused.

The Vagina Dentata has it's origins throughout many cultures. It suggests a woman's vagina containing teeth, which can swallow a man and reduce him to nothing. Even without teeth it can take away his erection and leave him in a state of letdown. This can be used effectively to control his actions to a point. But I feel it's a lot more that control this power hungry beast. All his senses are stimulated when the power of a women is used. Sight, scent, touch, and emotions play into the altering of his actions. A woman's genitals have been described throughout various cultures as "gateways to immortality", "executioners of men", "as dangerous as an open grave", and "the house of the dead". in Moslem culture it is believed that the mouth like vulva led to the custom of women covering their mouths in public.

Having taken a break from my studies I have returned. One last word on the term the "Crone". It evolved from the term "Crown", which represents the power of the ancient Matriarch who made the moral and legal decisions for her subjects and descendants. She was the wisdom and wrote the first law, s well as punishing the first sinners. The Crone needs to be rediscovered and respected before the Patriarchal system destroys mankind, or womankind too. :)

The Crone... The pillar of a Matriarchal society. The Goddess Mother from which all life starts, and is sustained in every human. This is the wise mature (older) Female that we learn from. She nurtured us as a child, she comforted us throughout our lives, and she deserves to be worshipped. Her guidance will complete the male as he approaches eternal life.

One thing that comes to mind with my reading about Patriarchal versus Matriarchal based society is the act of sexual intercourse. The comparison of allowing versus doing. The Females sort of have the power here. When it happens it is her that allows it and him that does it. Variance from this designates a crime that has mostly always the case. There's not many cases of female on male rape just because of the components, meaning the genitals. So if the question of Patriarchal versus Matriarchal is primarily defined by the creator, or God, wouldn't this help in the logic?

As for the "fear" concept in a Patriarchal society it is an interesting ideal. Males are defined by their macho abilities. Even at a level where one country challenges another it is typically in war. So the structure within our world is held in place by fear. While fear is an emotion it seems to be the only possible emotion to keep things in check. But fear is essentially a male emotion. A man is likely to control their peers, or even their family through the use of fear. It is so evident by simple sayings such as "Wait until your Father gets home", or that a child needs "the fear of God put into them". A child might understand the fear of the Father but their Mother is the primary parent. She brought them into the world and sustained them using her own body assuming they were breast fed.

As I read further it can be seen that a Patriarchal biased sociaty survives in the methods of a bully. Clouded in the myth of being logical and void of emotions we trust that males are thinking of the big picture. This might not be true though. From early recorded time Women have gathered in groups to satisfy their inner needs. These meetings have been perceived as innocent in that the primary focus is perhaps common female interests such as sewing, cooking, or even just to massage their emotional needs. If nothing else this time stimulates a Woman's creative spirit because it is free of the usual forced male logic. Does logical thinking explain all or is it the primary component of keeping us all in compliance? It by no means is the only tatic that a Patriarchal society uses. It is fear that drives most of our accepted society. Fear of God, fear of government, fear of the unknown.

I was recently introduced to the ideals of the Feminine Divine, the Great Goddess. From my early readings it appears to embrace a Matriarchal structure of social leadership over the traditional Patriarchal beliefs. I'm really excited to learn more because how do we know? I can only look at my life and realize how much my Mother was my teacher. My Father was a strong (male) influence and I did grow up to be like him in many ways, but my Mother was my primary teacher. This was due to being with her more because my Father was the "bread winner", but how much was that different than what prior societies followed?
