When I say 'people', I mean submissive females, being a het dom, myself ... but I suppose it applies to males as well.What bothers me is the people I talk to who have been owned, and then become unowned. It seems to me that independence is, or should be, a one-way street. Once a person surrenders his or her independence, to become owned property, that independence should come to a permanent end.The owner may die, or may lose interest in the submissive, but the submissive's ownership should not end.If the owner doesn't want the property, any more, they should give the slave to a new owner, sell him or her; whatever they choose, the property should not be left on its own. A table, pencil, car without an owner is just garbage; a pet without an owner is collected by the humane society for its own good, and to protect the community from wild animals. In the same way, human property should remain property, until the end of its life.Of course humans are not REALLY property, in a legal sense. The submissive always has the ability to walk away.
