Working in retail can be fun:
The funniest thing about working in sales is the customers.
One temp job that I just completed was working at a jewellery company.
They make jewellery and sell it though high street stores, mail order, Internet and over the phone.
Most products cost pennies to make so of course there is going to be a massive mark up-so when you want to entice customers or to get rid of old stock you discount it heavily.
One woman made me laugh, replying to her voice mail she had left on the company’s complaints department. She yelled at me and calling the company scammers because some of the items she bought had been discounted by 50%. I tried to explain she yelled at me again saying, “Never call me again, fucking scammers!” and put the phone down.
All I can say is never piss off a scotish woman they are not affraid to tell you what's on their mind. |
