The name should tell you a lot. I grew up with Brittish humor, which is a bit more subtle than the American variety. Mine might take some getting used to. I'm told it's worth the effort.
Much as everyone wants "commitment" and seems to wish for their partner to completely uproot themselves and come running . . .
I'm not going to do that. At least not anytime soon and not without a great deal of thought. I have a life where I am.
Play partners is fine. If I like you more may be available, though I just ended a LTL and I don't want to do anything too serious until some time in the future.

reading
connecting with friends
wow, what a circumscribed existence I just laid out. I ought to have more interests, right? funny thing I have discovered is that to do anything right takes a good amount of time and effort. So I'd rather have three things in my life that I'm good at than ten I just "do."
I hate television with a passion that most people can't begin to fathom. In fact, in my apartment right now there is no TV set, not even hooked up to a DVD player. Damn, call the feds, this one must be a terrorist. Or maybe I have the aforementioned three better things to do with my time.
I hate technology. Don't be surprised if I take a week getting back to you. I have no computer (let alone internet connection) at my apartment.
I hang with a crowd of artists, musicians, and poets. I'm the poet, I suppose. We create because we have something to say. If my life were to totally revolve around the service and comfort of one other person, then I wouldn't have as much to bitch about and hence my creativity would be shot.
So don't ask that of me, unless you wish for me to become . . . BORING.
