been reading a lot of the journals and personal info people have put up.. hilarious stuff, maybe i need to write a book with some of this stuff.. ;)

another memorial day.. sad time for me, every year remembering comrades gone..  oh well.. just a few notes on me folks.. sorry, i am not into the cyber side of things.. i am a 'hands-on' type of guy.. I am not really attracted to young girls, unlike most of my compatriots, i still find women my age fascinating, and we usually have a few more things in common than if I were to say, chase a wench in her 20's..  hmm.. :)still looking for that brilliant girl that is going to knock the wind out of me everytime she walks into the room.. don't know what else to say, i know that age, looks or any of the other normal things that people consider attractions, just don't fit me..  it's a rare thing, but sometimes i can walk into a room and instantly connect with someone, the only problem recently is that the ones that this 'instant connection' seems to happen to, they always seem to be in a relationship of some sort.. and, being an honorable guy, I sure as hell don't want to be that 'other person of interest' in a divorce court proceeding..  so, i still look.. Also, look, i am ex-military, but i am NOT a bad-boy type. that is, i am honorable, truthful and expect the same in return.. i am upfront and vocal, and expect the same in return.. have a good memorial day, go out and visit a WWII VET, they are quickly dying out, and we owe everything we have today to the generation that saved the world.. the greatest generation ever..

been a while since i last wrote a bit.. had my left ankle severely broken..turns out my service to my country has left the bones in my lower legs very brittle..they had to permanently bolt together my left ankle with pins and rods, so i can't move it anymore.. gives me a bit of a 'hop' when i walk now . ;)  Just got over breaking my left knee too (twice).. wouldn't be so bad if i did it chasing down a wench or two, but i did it going into a restaurant.. sheeesh..how embarrassing!.. more on our goverment.. not liking what i am seeing out of DC these days..really makes me wonder what sorts of people are there that are supposed to be 'representing' us and our better interests.. dunno, looks like sad days ahead.. anyway, i am back after a couple of years hiatus to get my health back.. still looking.. but not much seeing back!!!!  we shall see what we shall see..

ah.. a sad day.. looks like I gotta move outta town.. turns out that NAFTA has killed all the manufacturing in our little town.. it has all moved to mexico and brazil.. over 18,000 manufacturing jobs lost in a 2-county area over the last 10 years.. and since I do business to business computer support, my services are no longer needed, since over half the places in town have or will shut down.. sad day..  but, a new beginning.. time to go to chicago and see what the old town has.. wrigley field, left field bleachers, beer and a few dogs while watching the game. good times in the past, but I am really, really miss my little southern town, my friends and others.. I came to call this place home.. but I guess it wasn't to be.. longest place I ever been in life, being ex-military..  a sad day, but a new chapter begins..to be continued..
