Aftercare
One of the most important things for the submissive/slave and Dominant is aftercare. This helps the play time to come to a close and make sure that the submissive/slave and Dominant are mentally, psychologically and physically okay. During playtime, emotions and endorphins will run high and memories can be woken as well. You never know psychologically what will happen to the parties involved during time spent together. Emotions can be woken that were unexpected. So it is important that aftercare is used to make sure that all are balanced afterwards.
Also on a physical level, depending upon what tools were used, there may be things that need to be tended to. Creams to apply, possibly bandages, it is also important to look for bruises and tend to them. This is a great time for the Dominant and the submissive/slave to sit down and talk about the experience. What they did or did not like. How they are feeling mentally and psychologically.
It is important to remember BDSM is not meant to break the spirit. It is for enjoyment of all parties involved and growth. It is not for psychological damage or mental destruction and most certainly not for permanent damage of the body. Though there are fetishes and kinks that do include permanent body modification; that is consensual and after a period of time that trust has been established. That being said, always remember aftercare for all involved.

A few things about me...
I am a natural Domme, have been my whole life. I grew up in Colorado and then traveled from Alaska to NYC and landed in Wisconsin to settle down and find a home. What is Gorean? This question is asked by a great many. To answer the same question, several times to a lot of people separately is time wasting and allows the knowledge that many want to know, few actually ask. I choose my words carefully as to explain from my point of view without stepping in toes or misguiding interested parties that are new to certain thoughts or ideas they may not agree with or understand. To me being Gorean based fundamentally and mindful is about an honour code one should uphold, not only of themselves; others as well. Honour has many definitions and can be varied from person to person. There is however a common thread; truth, blind Faythe, defense of one's belief to the death, following through with one's word, defending those whom cannot defend themselves, and many codes of the Olde Guild and connected sorts. Also, to keep one's word; for my word is my honour, my honour is my soul. Take from what I write as you will.
The next question...what does it take to be a Gorean slave? ( or similar questions.) One must be able to carry their weight and the weight of their Dominant on their back, so choose wisely upon who's collar is begged. Also, seek out others in this side of BDSM, ask if they may talk to you on the subject, it is also called a search engine, read the books. As kind as I am, never mistake this as weakness. I research, I expect any possible sub or slave to do so as well. I expect those who might wear my collar to have and use the muscle between their ears. That is attractive and worth my attention.
