Why am I a dominant?

I suppose this is a good question to consider, why ought I consider myself a dominant? I realize the answer is simple; if I don't like the way you want to do things, then I simply will not do it. If I do like it, game on. 

That doesn't mean I am not open to new experiences, it just means make me an offer that can not be refused.
