Dominance is an elusive quality and often imagined when it is wholly absent.  These qualities are readily asserted as evidence of Dominance. However, those associations are spurious.   Control, Command and Authority are not the manifestations of Dominance.  They are merely the privilege of Power.

Power in its own right is impressive and it possesses a genuine allure. That allure rests with its ability to be projected to influence and impose individual desire upon events. But Power also lacks depth and endurance. Its projection can only be expressed in action its influence is measured by the reactions its action provokes. This external dependency regulates its influence and defines Power as distinct from any single origin. Power provides Control in the form of constraint.  It permits Command but only upon the discrete application of force. It bestows Authority to the degree it may threaten action or promise reward. Power is fluid.  It is transferable and disposable .acquired only by theft or surrender and it's expended immediately upon its exercise. Power is temporal situational transactional.

Dominance is not a possession. It is not accumulated nor consumed. Dominance is not the exertion of influence by one entity upon another it is the influence of one entity upon another. Dominance radiates outward and is not connected to any object or action. Dominance does not Command action it inspires action.  Dominance does not Control the environment it infuses momentum.  It is not transferable it is indifferent to Authority.  It is not conditional upon threat or promise.  Dominance is primordial it is innate inherent immeasurable.

Dominance describes the primacy of influence an entity exhibits and its assumption of qualities as they are manifested in its relationships. Like the capture of her moon, Earth's Dominance defines that relationship.  It is Earth not the moon that characterizes the system their intimacy creates. The two bodes are entwined and each evolved to possess qualities uncommon to their origin.  And yet, both remain distinct.  They exist independently each dramatically different from the other but neither can be described without mutual reference.  This is the aura of Dominance.  The ascension of the Dominant, the recession of the submissive, inspired evolution of each and by each, and the mutual dependency of both.

This interaction is not adversarial nor for that matter is it collaborative.  Adversarial relationships are contests in which only one entity is preserved the other assimilated. Collaborative relationships merely harmonize behavior toward common desires but preserve the autonomy of both.  However, the presence of Dominance denotes a synthesis of the two entities and the creation of something distinct from the originals. It simultaneously assimilates and preserves and, unlike any other relationship, it culminates in genesis.

I am not enticed by Power.  It is a commodity and does not reflect any essence of those who hold it or for that matter desire it.  Power is a shallow and clumsy surrogate for Dominance.  Anyone, imbued with sufficient Power can compel Control coerce Command impose Authority.  And the simple possession of these pleasures of Power does not suggest talent, guile or skill since all three are perhaps less often cultivated than ceded as currency surrendered exchanged for cavalier validation of absent qualities or perfunctory absolution of nominal sins.  No.  Power is trivial. Dominance is precious.  Dominance is the quality I crave.

It is the Dominant Man who captures my attention and intoxicates my senses. He is calm imbued with the composure only born from confidence and does not demand the theater of service as scaffold for the facade of prominence.  He engages the world with trust in his perception and agility and does not defer deliberation for the bravado of conviction.  His influence radiates exclusively from his very presence not exhorted by the display of props and ritual.  The Dominant Man embodies the essence of creative energy that arouses and excites the transformative energy within my submissive soul.

Desire moderated by Discretion inspires passion but avoids lust. Assertiveness paired with Discretion permits action without compulsion. Predation tempered in Compassion exudes intensity void of malice.  This balance of primordial instinct and cultivated consciousness is the essence of the Dominate Man.  He captivates unnamed senses and my body arches in response to some ethereal caress.  And the allure of his intimacy dissolves the boundaries I know to define myself.  His proximity amplifies my inherent qualities and slowly the possession of mind, heart, and body begins to lose distinction.  This is the state of submission I image to be exposed and yet secure.  It is surrender not to him but to myself.  It is the liberation of trust from condition or qualification that releases imposed constraints and permits me to lie bare splayed open without being vulnerable.  This state culminates in a sublime silence the cessation of internal narration and disassociation of action and word.
