After ten years I've CUT my dreds/locs !! People in my neighborhood stop me in disbelief, total strangers, some I've NEVER held a conversation with. A good friend said I'd become the neighborhood ICON. "The man with the really long hair." Some people really loved it, others didn't, all I can do is be ME, the best me that ever lived !! If you judged me by the length of my hair, that makes you the fool !! |

ECHOES !!!
Can you hear the echoes in your soul? People say life begins at the first heartbeat and ends with its last percussion. I beg to differ with this theory. Last weekend we lost my late Mother's childhood friend. She's the person that introduced my parents.
Guess you could say, without her, I would have never been born. I remember as a toddler walking down the streets of Brooklyn with my Mother holding one hand and my god-mother the other. Two of the FINEST women you would ever see. One milk chocolate and the other caramel, (red bone) as you could imagine.
They would take me to the playground and even over forty years later I can hear them both cry out my name. As I sit alone in this four cornered room, I embrace their affections. It seems like yesterday ..... yesterday .... it was just yesterday in my soul.
Can you hear them calling me? Those that touch our souls NEVER DIE !!! Our souls connect and that percussion continues. Dont worry about what people say or think. Remember those that make the beat of you soul continue to drum. Can you hear ECHOES now? Who beats in your soul?

Love letter to my friend!!
Have you ever sat down and written a love letter. A love letter to a friend. As I sit alone in my four cornered room I contemplate the universe. All alone I sit in my four cornered room.
My thoughts take me to a place where love as no fear, judgement or consequences. It takes me to those who have always been there for me. If I have been blessed with NOTHING material of otherwise. I've been truly blessed and fulfilled with my FRIENDS. In my four cornered room they sit with me. Yet, all alone I sit in this four cornered room.
When was the last time you wrote a love letter? When was the last time you wrote one slowly by hand. Life in my four cornered room. Here is where I'm at peace. Here is where I stand and look into the mirror. Here is where my reality lives, blossoms and life is at peace though I might be at turmoil deep within.
My friends have carried me through the hardest of times. Lifted me up when I was low. Fed me as I hungered, bought me water to conquer the thrist. This love letter is for them. I write this letter and dedicate it to the ones I love dearly and the ones losted as well.
Oh yeah.... within this four cornered room, we've all losted friends as well. For whatever reason or cause. They are not forgotten within these walls. This IS a love letter that is not for delivery. These four cornered walls holds all my secrets within, yet without reservation or escape. I sit alone in this four cornered room.
I have wonderful friends and they deserve this love letter. They deserve to know that my love and appreciation runs deeper than the ocean and higher than the skies above. Even when the clouds are gray and storms approach my love doesnt wither.
Tomorrow isnt promised, Therefore I suggest you put pen to paper. Dont use any other vehicle, not a text, voice mail, computer, drums, smoke signal or mental exchange. Close the door, get a piece of paper, pen, or pencil and say. I just wanted you to know that I LOVE YOU !!

This past weekend there was a FANTASTIC lifestyle Xmas event held locally Maryland hosted by Ariel and Mistress Judy. I MUST SAY the dungeon is one of the most well equiped, spacious and manicured domains I have encountered in my many years. I got to hang out with ole friends and associates and make new ones as well. I look forward to the New Year in hopes of following up one some of those connections and vibes. Jan 3rd is when I'm due to return from vacation. Have a SPANKING good holiday. |

Good things come to those who wait !! The waiting is finally over !! Like a bleam of light she HAS APPEARED and all is well with the world. She's tall and soft as her silence speaks volumnes. Her hug tight yet gentle and she nets within my surroundings. I glance at her gentle smile as she seeks guidance and direction. Blessings have been set upon me as she's arrived to my door. Today is a good day and tomorrow a better one with her.
Let the people rejoice and feast for the long awaited one has arrived and within her GRACE I am filled !!! |

ANOTHER TWO ICONS have passed: Bernie Mac and Isaac (Black Moses) Hayes died this past weekend. A comedian of great genius and an ICONIC creative musical genius. Just about everyone in the late 60's to now knew and was somehow touched by the pure artistry of Isaac Hayes. Bernie Mac emerging from the King of Comedy made his mark on society. I decided to come back into DC from NYC for the afternoon to attend an event (Flea Market) at The Crucible ..... bought a few things and decided to return that evening. It was a very nice event and well attended. Met a few ole friends and new ones as well. Its GREAT being around TRUE people into the lifestyle instead of the wannabees and pretenders online. YESTERDAY was a good day !!! |
