In my vanilla life I am a movie buff, amateuer astronomer, ocasional writer, and not so ocasional smartass with a penchant for myths, folk stories, and fairy tales (hence the username) though I went through a bit of a goth phase in HS and seem to have picked up a soft spot for all things dark and spooky as well (not to mention a penchant for overly edgy symphonic metal music). Needless to say I'm a bit of a homebody but I do occasionally brave the light of day and enjoy hiking, gardening, and travel as well, though  I tend to prefer road trips over long flights as at my height air travel can be a little... restrictive (and not in the fun way). 

When it comes to kink I tend to favor the more psychological aspects of BDSM over the purely physical side. This means I tend to gravitate towards kinks and dynamics that allow me to feel a sense of vulnerability and loss of control, with some of my favorites being bondage, sensory deprivation, cfnm, exhibitionism, and orgasm denial/chastity... though I definitely have a soft spot for the classics as well (i.e. whips, chains, gags, latex, leather, etc.) and freely admit to having a little bit of a dark side when it comes to some of my fantasies, with humiliation, denigration, and dehumanization being common themes. I do not enjoy outright cruelty however and though I might like to delve into darker topics and places from time to time I universally prefer a more supportive, trusting, and affectionate type of relationship with my Partner/Partners.

I’m not exactly expecting to find my soulmate on here (though that would be nice) however kink is a pretty intimate expieriance for me and I do need some kind of a relationship with someone before I’d consider submitting to them, even if it’s just as friends. I’d like to find some fellow kinky and/or geeky people around my age to talk to and hopefully find a few friends and maybe a play partner or two, possibly leading to more down the road.
